If you want to be healthy, and I mean really healthy, not the social media superficial version of “healthy” - you need to make sure your gut health is in tip top shape.

So often I see clients who dismiss their symptoms as “this is just normal for me” or “it’s not that bad, I can live  with it, I just need to stay away from (insert long list of foods here)”. Perhaps you feel like you have already tried a few things to fix your symptoms. Maybe you’ve tried removing gluten and dairy or taking probiotics every day. Maybe some of your symptoms have subsided but really, you're not seeing much of a difference. 

The impact of poor gut health isn’t just isolated to uncomfortable symptoms like bloating and constipation. The health of your gut and microbiota can lead to some serious conditions beyond the digestive system. It's like a ripple effect on your overall health. From hormonal imbalances to skin disorders, and even immune system dysfunction, a well-supported gut plays a crucial role in a healthy you.

Now I’m going to be honest with you. When it comes to restoring your gut health it’s never going to be a quick fix. There is no magic supplement I can give you (sorry). There’s no medication your doctor can give you to restore your gut health. What it comes down to is time, a commitment from you to make the necessary changes and for us to work closely together on a treatment. This is what’s really going to make a difference. 

As a naturopath I focus on creating balance and working with where you are at right now. We are all individuals and this means your health needs are also unique.

The Initial Consultation 1:1 naturopathic support

In your initial naturopathic consultation we will spend 90 minutes together, either in person or online, and we will go deep. We will discuss everything about your health, not only the symptoms and concerns that led you to book your appointment, but also the body systems that intertwine with these. You will have a safe space to openly talk about your health, how it is that you’ve come to this point , and everything that’s impacted you up until now. This is a moment for you to tell your story and be listened to compassionately and without judgement. After your initial consultation we will decide if the Gut Love Program is right for you and if you’re ready to move forward, this is where we begin your personalised gut health protocol: a structured 4 month naturopathic treatment protocol that’s tailored to your symptoms, goals, test results, and overall health picture. We’ll map out your food plan, supplement support, lifestyle foundations, and ongoing steps — and you’ll have me alongside you to guide, support, and adapt your care as your body begins to shift and heal.

Implementing your Personalised Protocol & Gut Health Roadmap Diet

When we begin your personalised protocol, this food plan is often one of the first therapeutic tools I’ll introduce. It becomes part of a broader, structured treatment approach — tailored to your symptoms, test results, and capacity — that’s designed not just to manage symptoms, but to actually support deep, lasting healing. Whether we’re working to reduce inflammation, starve off overgrowth, or gently reintroduce foods once your gut is stronger, everything we do is intentional, strategic, and designed for your body — not someone else’s.

One of the core tools I use is the SIBO Roadmap Diet — a complete SIBO and IBS diet system that helps you feel better in your body and enjoy food again. While it was originally designed for those with small intestinal bacterial overgrowth, don’t let the name mislead you. This approach works beautifully for anyone experiencing uncomfortable digestive symptoms — including bloating, reflux, irregular bowels, or food sensitivities. It can also be used preventatively to restore gut microbiota and optimise health, even if you’re not currently symptomatic. Because the truth is, in the world we live in today, almost everyone could benefit from a therapeutic reset.

Going a little bit deeper

Before we start your Personalised Protocol, it’s likely we will need to do a comprehensive stool test and or a SIBO breath test. These tests are imperative for getting to the bottom (no pun intended) of whats going on with your digestive health. You will also be assessed to see if further testing is needed. These are not included in the packages listed but will be discussed on an individual basis.

This is not a quick fix or a one-off consultation. It’s a structured, evolving process that gives us space to go deeper, make adjustments, and respond to how your body is changing along the way. Stepping away too early or trying to shortcut the process can dilute the results we’re working toward. The real magic happens when we work closely together — consistently, compassionately, and with a clear plan — to unravel what’s going on and rebuild a foundation for lasting gut health.

Also, there’s no way to get around it. Herbs and supplements are going to be a key part of your treatment. Having said that I do like to keep things as simple as possible when it comes to prescribing. Im not the kind of practitioner who will send you off with $600 worth of supplements with a very complex supplement routine to follow. But if you have a lot of restoring to do and naughty pathogens and bacteria at play you will need to take supplements and herbs. These will be at an additional cost to the program.
